southern savers has 3 short youtube videos that explain the basics, where to find coupons, and how to use coupons effectively. jenny also has a coupon database.
i am at a point in my life where i actually have a little time (thanks to my amazing husband who loves having me at home!). our "baby girl" is 15. 2 of our 3 boys (28 and 23) have moved out. one is in law school at the university of alabama, and the other a firefighter in mooresville. our youngest son (19) just started his second semester of college (catawba valley community college)where he gets to play baseball!
i love shopping, the internet, cooking, homeschooling our daughter (public school just did not work for her) and in january of 2009, i discovered how much fun it is to be an extreme couponer.
i have a few friends who have small kids and need to save money because they are committed to staying home with their babies (oh, i love babies, too!). so i want to make it easy for them to find the deals in mooresville. i try to do the research so they don't have to.
it's hard enough to pack up the kids just to do the shopping!
since i started this first blog,
i have been inspired to have 2 more!
excuse me, i have some cooking to do...
has some great vegetarian recipes.
excuse me, my dad has alzheimer's....
chronicles the day to day adventures with my dad.
i store my coupons in some folded, large pieces of construction paper. i date each one.
when a sale comes along, i get the date of the coupon from the store sale list (on blogs) or go to the coupon database, enter in the product i'm looking for, and easily find which week has the right coupon to clip!
I wish I had a Food Lion!
