southern savers has 3 short youtube videos that explain the basics, where to find coupons, and how to use coupons effectively. jenny also has a coupon database.
go here to print a hidden valley ranch dressing $1/1 coupon. a couple of others mentioned too. use the "3 week sale" coupons available at lowes food to get it for $1.39. ($2.39 sale price -$1) i'm pretty sure these coupons are still available at the customer service desk at the new lowes. i think that's a good price for this. i may take one to bj's to buy the huge bottles because we use A LOT of this stuff!
one thing you may want to pick up at lowes if you go for the grand opening is some extra large (21-25/lb) gulf white shrimp, on sale for $3.99/lb. save at least $5/lb. neighbor don told me about this, said he was buying some for his wife, aw... i'm kinda funny about seafood, i try to make good choices that are healthy for my family and for the environment. this shrimp is a good choice! here's a website (seafood watch) where you can research such things.
go here to see if you are eligible to receive the latest betty crocker coupon booklet. you have to sign up to receive their newsletter.
*tip* i have 3 different "coupon" email addresses that i use for stuff like this. (you can get free email addresses thru yahoo or gmail) that way, my regular email doesn't get bogged down with emails, and i can read these newsletters when i have a chance.
here are the lists for food lion: southern savers deal seeking mom the food lion brand sale continues. this includes food lion brand, home360 and pet360. does NOT include smart option.

samaritan's purse has a long history of helping those in need. click on the "help for haiti" logo on the right to donate!
i am at a point in my life where i actually have a little time (thanks to my amazing husband who loves having me at home!). our "baby girl" is 15. 2 of our 3 boys (28 and 23) have moved out. one is in law school at the university of alabama, and the other a firefighter in mooresville. our youngest son (19) just started his second semester of college (catawba valley community college)where he gets to play baseball!
i love shopping, the internet, cooking, homeschooling our daughter (public school just did not work for her) and in january of 2009, i discovered how much fun it is to be an extreme couponer.
i have a few friends who have small kids and need to save money because they are committed to staying home with their babies (oh, i love babies, too!). so i want to make it easy for them to find the deals in mooresville. i try to do the research so they don't have to.
it's hard enough to pack up the kids just to do the shopping!
since i started this first blog,
i have been inspired to have 2 more!
excuse me, i have some cooking to do...
has some great vegetarian recipes.
excuse me, my dad has alzheimer's....
chronicles the day to day adventures with my dad.
i store my coupons in some folded, large pieces of construction paper. i date each one.
when a sale comes along, i get the date of the coupon from the store sale list (on blogs) or go to the coupon database, enter in the product i'm looking for, and easily find which week has the right coupon to clip!
