CVS/pharmacy....they're reeling me in

a few months ago i signed up for the CVS email.
this week i got an email that i printed out for either a free hand sanitizer or 1.5 oz bag of nuts. "$1.69 value" it said.
i needed some posterboard, so i decided to go to CVS, get my posterboard and my free nuts.
so, i go to check out.
the nuts are priced at 99¢.
i was pleasantly surprised that $1.69 was still deducted!
so i paid 29¢ for my 99¢ posterboard AND got printout coupons for:
a free 4 pack of CVS batteries, a $25 gift card with new or transferred prescription, and $3 off/$15 or more purchase.

if you don't have babies, this would be great for gifts or donations!

i wanted to post this early mainly because food lion will have a "stock up" price on chicken next week. $1.67/lb!
also, the breyers ice cream will be bogof. pick up $1.50/1 coupons in the healthy community book (at customer service desk). get 2!

where have i been?

the last party of the summer.
we took DD and her friend A to see the jonas brothers in charlotte.
while downtown, we met jordin sparks who was opening for them.
she was so nice.
it was a great time.
hanging out with other jonas fans.
met a mom who lives in mooresville and it getting ready to homeschool her daughter for the first time (God thing!)
a free pizza lunch.
meeting christa black (jonas violinist...she has a cool blog )
meeting jordin sparks.
floor seats for the girls.
nosebleed seats for DH and me.
after party until 1:30 am.
i feel so young!
