food lion 4/25

went to FL in mooresville nc this morning.
had a tip from hotcouponworld.com forum.

glade spray...
use glade spray bogof coupons (4/19 ss). they are on sale for $1. so 0.50 each.
but…at check out get a catalina good for $1 off next purchase! free :)

scott naturals toilet paper...
also, the home & earth book at customer service has the scott toilet paper coupon that matches with the manufacturer’s coupon (4/19 ss). the coupons from this booklet do not state that you can’t use them with other coupons.
some of the printables from FL do state that.
so of course, it’s up to your manager, but do read your coupon and TRY to follow instructions!
i was able to use both and get the scott TP 4 mega rolls for 0.50.
AND the ad this week states you can get a free reusable bag with the purchase of this scott item, so look for that! mine was at the back of the store, i had to ask. apparently there is a tearpad near these bags with a coupon.

so for $2.50 oop, i got toilet paper, 4 cans of glade, and a reusable tote (it’s nice!), AND $2 off my next order. i’m happy and DH is impressed :)

for more deals go to southern savers or hotcouponworld

happy earth week!

4/3 trip to harris teeter

the sun was shining for the first time in DAYS!
as i drove to HT, i saw a mom going back into her house, two small kids anxiously waiting at the door to greet her. i remember those days when my kids just couldn't wait to get their hands on me. i miss those days.

kashi is awesome!

a week or so ago, i wrote to the kashi company and told them how much i enjoy their products, and how they had helped me loose 60 lbs and keep it off for 10 years. today in the mail i received a whole envelope of great coupons!
this is an example of how contacting a company can really pay off. i'm starting to understand how those coupon ladies on TV end up with such a low cost for their shopping trip. it's not just cutting coupons or even printing them. it is a strategic game! i'm in!

so, go take a look in your cupboard and start contacting some companies that your family likes. see what happens.
here's a start:
www.kashi.com

depression cooking and great stories

i heard about this fabulous grandma who has allowed her grandson to make videos of her cooking food that she ate growing up in the depression. she reminds me so much of my grandma, she even has the same pots and pans! with the state of our economy, this is very relevant, and heartwarming too.
